Sascha Alexander

Sascha was born in Seattle, Washington, where she was raised by her father, a general contractor, and her mother, an employee of the University of Washington. At the age of 10, when her fabulous parents and her delightful older sister finally became tired of her loudly cavorting around the house in home-made costumes, Sascha was enrolled in weekly theatre classes at the Seattle Children’s Theatre (SCT). She continued courses at SCT in acting, voice, movement, and improvisation until she left Seattle to attend the USC School of Theatre in Los Angeles at the age of 17.

At USC Sascha appeared in several productions, most notably Les Belles-Soeurs directed by Martha Demson of the Open Fist Theatre Company and Alls Well That Ends Well co-directed by Mark Rucker (Die Mommy, Die!) and Nike Doukas (Numb3rs, Without a Trace, Criminal Minds). She also served as a founding member and Artistic Director for the TaketheStage Theatre Company, a student-run theatre company on campus that independently produced six fully-staged productions during her time as Artistic Director. USC is also where Sascha first learned to act on-camera. She performed in numerous student films while at school, and appeared on two episodes of “Exposed! a television series for USC’s TrojanVision network.

During her last year at USC Sascha was accepted into the British American Dramatic Academy. She studied at the academy in London for four months under the tutelage of a fabulous staff of British greats from Sheila Allen (Royal Shakespeare Company) to Mick Barnfather (Theatré de Complicité). At BADA she also attended master classes with Sir Derek Jacobi, Fiona Shaw, and Daniel Evans. She finished off her semester abroad by participating a World Premiere production of Euripedes’ Alcestis at the Oval House Theatre in London.

Since graduation, Sascha has appeared on NBC's Days of Our Lives, in the independent short film Another Day and the non-union feature Papa Zeus. She also got her SAG card working on the set of the Dreamworks feature “Hotel for Dogs” starring Emma Roberts, Lisa Kudrow, and Kevin Dillon. She is still active in the theatre community, recently appearing in a World Premiere reading at the Pasadena Playhouse of Worth written by Corey Madden (Center Theatre Group) and directed by Kurt Beattie (ACT Seattle). She is also a member of the fabulous Circle X Theatre Company in Los Angeles.

Of her work in Inside Out an original play by Ivan Borodin and Sascha’s first production out of school, the LA Weekly says:
“…[the play] works best as a showcase for Alexander’s phenomenal performance as an effusive innocent trying to play tough.”

Sascha is currently seeking theatrical representation.
